Method19 Safety and Assumption of Risk Agreement
Effective September 22, 2026
1 Training service and medical limitation
Method19 provides general educational and athletic training content. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, physical therapy, emergency monitoring or individualized medical clearance. Training recommendations cannot account for every injury, condition, medication, facility, surface, climate, piece of equipment or coaching decision.
Consult a qualified health professional before beginning or continuing training if the athlete has an injury, health condition, unexplained symptom, recent surgery, concussion concern, restriction, pregnancy, or any doubt about safe participation. Follow any medical, athletic-trainer, school, league or governing-body restriction even if Method19 content suggests otherwise.
2 Known and potential risks
Athletic training and baseball activities involve inherent and other risks. These include:
• Muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, bone and growth-plate injuries; soreness; strains; sprains; fractures; dislocations; and overuse injuries.
• Throwing-related shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, back and kinetic-chain injuries, including injuries associated with volume, intensity, weighted implements, fatigue or inadequate recovery.
• Hitting, fielding and equipment injuries from bats, balls, nets, machines, weights, bands, unstable equipment or other participants.
• Falls, collisions, cuts, bruises, dental or eye injuries and injury caused by an unsafe surface, confined space, weather, heat, cold, poor air quality or inadequate lighting.
• Dizziness, fainting, breathing difficulty, dehydration, heat illness, cardiovascular events or worsening of an existing condition.
• Serious injury, permanent disability or death, even when reasonable care is used.
3 Participant responsibilities
The adult athlete or parent agrees to use reasonable judgment and to:
• Review instructions before beginning and choose a safe, clear space and properly maintained equipment.
• Use an appropriate warm-up, technique, progression, workload and recovery schedule.
• Follow applicable pitch counts, throwing restrictions, return-to-play protocols and coach or medical instructions.
• Stop immediately for sharp or increasing pain, chest pain, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, loss of coordination, suspected concussion or other concerning symptoms and seek appropriate help.
• Never train while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs or medication that makes participation unsafe.
• Contact emergency services when urgent care may be needed. Method19 does not monitor sessions and cannot summon help.
4 Minor athletes
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for deciding whether an athlete age 13 through 17 may participate, providing supervision appropriate to the athlete and activity, and ensuring compliance with medical, school, team, facility and governing-body rules. Method19 does not replace a responsible adult, coach, athletic trainer or medical professional. Activities involving weights, throwing, machinery, outdoor conditions or elevated injury risk should be supervised by a qualified adult.
5 Coach responsibilities
A coach or program staff member remains responsible for the coach's own instructions, modifications, athlete selection, workload, supervision, emergency planning, facility and equipment safety, and compliance with organizational and sport rules. Method19 progress information is a training aid and does not establish medical readiness or remove the need for professional judgment.
6 Voluntary participation and assumption of risk
I understand the nature of the activities and the risks described above. I voluntarily choose to participate or, as the parent or legal guardian, voluntarily authorize the identified minor athlete to participate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I knowingly assume the inherent and other risks of participation, including risks arising from my choices, the athlete's condition, the training environment, equipment and the acts or omissions of other participants or team personnel.
7 Release and limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and agree not to hold Method 19, LLC and its members, employees and contractors liable for claims arising from ordinary negligence connected with the use of Method19 training content or voluntary participation in activities. This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless or willful misconduct, or any claim that applicable law does not allow to be waived. A parent or guardian releases the parent's or guardian's own claims and acknowledges that the enforceability of any provision concerning a minor may vary by jurisdiction.
8 No performance or injury prevention guarantee
Method19 does not guarantee improved performance, playing time, recruiting opportunities, scholarships, selection, injury prevention, recovery, fitness or any other result. Progress depends on many factors outside Method19's control.
9 Electronic acceptance
By checking the acceptance box, I confirm that I have read and understand this Agreement, had the opportunity to ask questions, and am accepting electronically. If I accept for a minor athlete, I confirm that I am the athlete's parent or legal guardian and have authority to authorize participation. The acceptance record may identify the account, athlete, document version, time and related transaction or team.
10 Governing terms and contact
This Agreement is part of the Method19 Terms of Use. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Questions may be sent to Method 19, LLC at support@method19.com.
